Turning off Online Ordering: Best Practices

Where is the customer ordering from?  Zeeks Pizza Website and Zeeks Pizza App

INCENTIVIO is the platform to edit (see notes and photo below):
  1. Pickup Orders Accepted: DON'T uncheck the box. Leaving this box checked will:
    1. allow for future orders to be placed during closure
    2. bring Incentivio ordering back online automatically the next day at the scheduled time
    3. for delivery orders, simply show your customers you are closed rather than telling them you don't deliver to their address 
  2. Order Pickup Hours: DON'T change this, unless you are making changes to regular ordering hours
  3. Days Pickup Unavailable: MAKE EDITS if you want to close for the rest of the day or schedule future day complete closures
  4. The above 3 items need to be made in the DELIVERY section as well as the PICKUP section by expanding the delivery carrot.

TOAST is the platform to edit:
  1. Leave all Online Ordering on (see below):


Instead, enter full day or partial overrides (see below), making sure to select all affected dining behaviors (you must publish your changes for them to take effect):

Turning off online ordering through Toast, in this way, will:
  1. allow customers to place orders for a future time during this closure
  2. bring all Toast online ordering back on at the next scheduled time after the override closure automatically





Where is the customer ordering from? Third Party App (e.g. Doordash, Uber Eats, Grub Hub)

THIRD PARTY PORTALS is where to make edits

The ability, in Toast, to flip off DoorDash, GrubHub, and Uber Eats does exist.  However, they will need to manually be turned back on.  This option is only recommended for brief closures.  The recommended best practice is to make the adjustments for any closures in the third party portals.  If you do not have access to your portals, please reach out on your store's opscenter slack channel.

Add special hours and closures, under store availability, in the DoorDash portal.






GRUBHUB:
Add special hours and closures, under hours, in the Grubhub portal.






UBER EATS:
Add special hours and closures, under holiday hours, in the Uber Eats portal.
